Cyclist knocked from his bike in Kettering road rage

A man was knocked from his bike after he was abused by a Kettering driver in a road rage incident.

The victim was riding his electric pedal cycle at the junction of Bowling Green Lane and London Road when the incident took place between 11.45am and 12.30pm on Friday (May 29).

He moved into the middle lane at the junction when a motorist in a red car pulled up alongside him and verbally abused him.

When the traffic lights changed to green the cyclist moved across the junction and he felt his rear wheel being pushed by the suspect's vehicle.

The victim fell from his bike into the road but did not suffer any injuries, although his bike was damaged.

A police spokesman said: "The motorist was white, aged 20 to 30-years-old and had a local accent.

"Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have captured it on dash-cam.

"Witnesses or anyone with information about the incident can call police on 101."
