Cruel distraction burglars steal cash from elderly man in Little Harrowden

A few hundred pounds were stolen from an elderly man after he was conned into letting burglars into his house in Little Harrowden.

The victim had his wallet stolen after two women asked him to go and get something when they struck in Wellingborough Road.

The incident happened between 5.45pm and 6pm on August 4 when the suspects knocked on the victim's door.

They started talking to him about seeing documents and then walked into his house.

But when they then asked for the victim to go and get something they took his wallet which had a 'few hundred pounds' in, a police spokesman said.

The spokesman described the suspects as being two small women in their 60s with grey hair.

Anyone with information should contact police on 101.
