A teenager who drunkenly karate kicked a girl at a party he wasn’t invited to has been spared prison.

Connor Foye went to a house party in Corby on August 11 last year and after an alcohol-fuelled row, kicked the girl in the upper body.

Northampton Crown Court heard his assault was likened to a karate kick by witnesses.

Foye, 18, of Culross Walk, Corby admitted two charges of grievous bodily harm and damaging property.

Steven Evans, mitigating, said: “He has held his hands up, but there is no excuse for what he did.”

Recorder Sam Mainds said: “You’re a big man, you work on a building site, you know how to handle yourself. You don’t go around getting drunk and kicking women.”

Foye was sentenced to 150 hours of unpaid work, and ordered to pay £750 compensation to the victim.

Recorder Mainds added: “If you breach the order, back here you will come, and to prison you will go.”
