They dished out three fines to those breaking the Covid law on gatherings and issued two section 59 notices which warn people their vehicles will be seized if they continue to use them for criminal activity.

Officers also issued a fixed penalty notice to someone refusing to wear a mask in a takeaway in Corporation Street this afternoon.

Last night, at about 11.30pm, officers issued two fixed penalty notices to two adults out of their homes with no legal reason in Blake Road on the Hazel Leys estate.

And yesterday they stopped four children from three different households in Coronation Park and Willow Place who were not allowed to be out together. They ran from officers when stopped and warning letters have been sent to their parents.

Although Corby’s Covid rates are falling, it still has one of the highest infection rates in the country.
