Corby man jailed for Oundle burglary

A Corby man has spent Christmas and his birthday behind bars after he was jailed over a burglary in Oundle.

Ryan Corr, 25, admitted entering a unit at Oundle Marina in Barnwell Road as a trespasser on December 5 and stealing boxes of retail toys.

At Northampton Magistrates' Court he was jailed for 18 weeks because of his record of previous offending.

Corr, of Totnes Close in Corby, must also pay compensation of £100, costs of £85 and a surcharge to fund victim services of £122.

A second man, Colin Seymour, also admitted burglary.

Seymour, 35 and of Grimsby, was also jailed for 18 weeks - but magistrates gave him a second chance and suspended the jail sentence for a year.
