Corby man denies murdering 38 year old man in KFC restaurant

A 33-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to murdering a man in a fast-food restaurant in Corby.

Ashley Palmer, of Moss Walk, Corby, appeared at Northampton Crown Court on Thursday after he was charged in relation to an incident in KFC in Oakley Road, Corby on Tuesday, November 3.

A 38-year-old man from Birmingham suffered serious head injuries as a result of an alleged assault, which happened shortly after 7pm.

He was taken to University Hospital Coventry for treatment, where he died on Friday, November 13.

Palmer has pleaded not guilty to a charge of murder and the case was adjourned for a trial to take place in May.
