A Corby man will face magistrates after being charged with racially abusing a police officer.

Lewis Anthony Armour, of Kingsthorpe Avenue, has been charged with a racially aggravated public order offence after the incident on April 3.

A police officer was responding to reports of criminal damage in Grendon Drive, Barton Seagrave, at about 4.10am when a man shouted racist comments at them.

Armour, 30, will appear at Northampton Magistrates’ Court on July 1, 2020.
