Conman had no assets to seize

A CONMAN who duped his closest friends into investing nearly £100,000 in his vending machine business had no assets to confiscate.

The value of the fraud committed by Robin Mills, was calculated at £94,101, Northampton Crown Court heard on Thursday.

Mills, 42, of Randall Close, Irthlingborough, “groomed” friends to invest in his company.

Mills, who was said to have had no realisable assets of substance, was jailed for 28 months in September last year.

Judge Richard Bray made a nominal £1 confiscation order against Mills to allow any future assets to be considered for confiscation.
