Burglars broke into a Burton Latimer supermarket and stole cash.

The incident happened at Sainsbury’s, in High Street, on Wednesday, July 30.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: “Sometime between midnight and 4am the offenders broke into the store via the roof and stole cash.

“They also attempted to break into the cigarette kiosk but were unsuccessful.”

Officers believe two white men were involved in the incident. One was dressed in all dark clothing, the other was wearing a light-coloured hooded top.

Both had their heads and faces covered and the one wearing the light coloured top was carrying a ladder.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have any information regarding it.
