Bus driver racially abused and spat at in Northamptonshire by gang including man with white mask on his face

A bus driver was racially abused and spat at while sitting in the cab of his bus by a gang of seven people.

Police are hunting for a gang of seven people who racially abused and spat at a bus driver who was driving from Northampton town centre to Rectory Farm.

When the bus stopped at Wellingborough Road a group of seven people got off. As they did so they racially abused the driver and spat at him.

The offenders are described as a group of three white females and four dual-heritage males. One of the males had a white mask around his face.

The incident happened on Friday, February 19, just after 10pm.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: “Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have any information regarding it.”
