Boys robbed in Wellingborough park

Two teenager boys were robbed in a Wellingborough park.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the robbery in a park in Newcomen Road in the town.

The incident happened at around 7.30pm yesterday (Sunday, October 27).

Two 16-year-old boys were sitting in the park when they were approached by two teenage men or boys who threatened them and then stole their mobile phones.

One of the offenders is described as a mixed race man, aged 17-19, about 6ft 2in and with a slim muscular build. He was wearing a hooded top with the hood up, a black balaclava with white zig zags and dots on it.

He was also wearing shiny black tracksuit bottoms and spoke with a local accent.

The second offender is described as a white boy, aged 16-18, 5ft 8in to 5ft 10in and skinny.

He was wearing a black hooded top and jogging bottoms with a black balaclava.
