Boy, 13, punched by would-be robber in Kettering

A 13-year-old boy was punched in a face by another youth who tried to rob him in Kettering.

The victim was approached by a teenager between 5pm and 5.30pm on Wednesday (February 5) in Bellway Close.

The other teenager demanded he got off his bicycle but when the victim refused he was pushed in the chest and punched in the face.

The attacker tried to steal the seat from his bike but the boy managed to get away and rode off.

A police spokesman said: "The offender is described as white, aged 13 to 15, about 5ft tall, of a slim build with blond and brown hair.

"He was wearing a green Puma tracksuit with black Nike trainers and wearing gloves."
