Boy, 13, punched in the head during robbery near Northampton park

A 13-year-old boy was robbed of his watch after he was punched by two teenage boys who attacked him as he walked home from school in Northampton.

The teenager was walking in Abington Park Crescent, opposite Abington Park, between 4pm and 4.40pm yesterday (Tuesday), when he was approached by two other teenage boys. One asked the victim what he was looking at before punching him in the face and back of the head.

The 13-year-old was then forced to hand over his watch and to empty his pockets, at which point members of the public intervened and the robbers ran off.

The first offender is described as black, about 15 and around 5ft 8ins, of medium build with short black hair and was clean shaven. He was wearing a black jacket and tracksuit bottoms and was on a black mountain bike.

The second offender is described as black, about 15, around 5ft 9ins and of slim build. He was wearing a blue Nike cap, black tracksuit top and black bottoms and was also riding a black mountain bike.
