BMW driver 'runs off' after collision with lorry on M1 in Northamptonshire

A driver who was involved in a collision with a lorry on the M1 ran off from the scene, Northamptonshire Police has confirmed.

The collision happened at around 10.45am today (April 28) on the southbound carriageway at junction 18 for Crick and West Haddon.

The incident, in which nobody was hurt, involved a white BMW and a lorry.

Road users were delayed on the stretch of road as lanes were closed while recovery was completed.

A spokeswoman for Northamptonshire Police said: "This was called into us at about 10.45am this morning and involved a car (a white BMW) and a lorry in collision on the M1 southbound near junction 18.

"The driver of the car ran off from the scene and we are currently trying to track them down. No injuries."
