Attempted robbery in Corby

Police are appealing for information about an attempted robbery in Corby.

The incident happened on Monday, January 21, some time between 4.50pm and 5.10pm as a 53-year-old man left the Irish Centre and approached the junction of Patrick Road and Sower Leys Road.

He was stopped by three men, one of whom engaged him in conversation and then grabbed his arm, spinning him round and trying to put his other hand in the man’s jacket pocket.

This offender is described as white, aged around 18, 5ft 8ins tall and of slim build with short brown cropped hair. He was wearing a black jacket and a white hoodie underneath.

The other two offenders are of a darker south European complexion but no further description is available.
