Another arrest made after man stabbed in Kettering

Police investigating an incident which saw a man stabbed in the neck in Kettering have made another arrest.

The victim, a man in his 40s, is in a stable condition in hospital after the stabbing in Fishton Close on the Highfield estate at about 6.20pm on Friday night.

Officers were called after a fight between four people left the man with serious injuries when he was stabbed in the neck.

Police stood guard throughout the evening with a grassed area between Highfield Road and Fishton Close taped off.

Over the weekend 37-year-old Andros Baker Allen, of Newark Drive in Corby, was charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a bladed article. He is due to appear before magistrates in Northampton today (Monday).

A police spokesman said they have since arrested a 56-year-old Kettering man on suspicion of assisting an offender.

He has been released on police bail.
