A woman was taken to hospital after an alleged assault outside her Northampton home.

Ambulance staff alerted police that the woman reported she had been attacked by a male in Churchill Avenue, near to Troutbeck Walk, between 7am and 1pm on Tuesday (June 2). She was taken to Northampton General Hospital for treatment.

A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said: "We are asking anyone with information or who may have witnessed this incident is to call us on 101 using reference number 20000279430."
