Crafty way to raise funds for Borneo trip

A Year 11 pupil has organised a Crafts for Christmas event to raise money for a trip to help a community in Borneo, and is hoping people will go along and support her.

Gemma Hollis, 15, is holding the event at The Manor School and Sports College in Raunds on Friday, November 7, from 2.30pm to 8pm.

Entry is free and 12 crafters will be at the event selling their goods.

Gemma is hoping to go to Borneo next August with school, who are joining up with Camps International to spend four weeks living as part of the local community, working on important social and conservation projects, including vital forest regeneration and helping to improve the lives of the local people.
