A SCHOOL is turning the screw on late students as it bids to come out of special measures.
Lodge Park Technology College in Corby was placed in special measures by Ofsted following an inspection in November last year which graded it as “inadequate.”
One of the areas it was told to improve on was attendance at college, as levels were below the national average.
The school will be clamping down on late students from the start of the new term on Monday.
A post from principal Guy Shearer on the school’s website said: “Remember that the new term means the tighter rules about punctuality at the start of college will be in force.
“Students arriving at the gate after 8.35am will be deemed to be late.
“Students coming late more than two mornings a week will be placed on morning report and have to come into college earlier.”
