The multi-million-pound development, which has already seen the opening of Hayfield Cross Primary School, will see a total of 5,500 houses built.

One of the biggest talking points on the agenda will be the need for an extra junction on the A14, known as Junction 10a.

Among those calling for funding for the junction in 2014 were MP for Kettering Philip Hollobone and the Rev Dr John Smith, who lives adjacent to the site.

Speaking at the time, Mr Smith said: “That means at least 2,700 cars, possibly 5,000 cars, will be travelling on existing roads through Kettering until this is done.”

Updates will also be given on the timeframe of delivery and residential applications from major house builders David Wilson, Barratts, Taylor Wimpey and Persimmon.

There will also be a public question and answer session for those wishing to put questions forward to Kettering Council and the developers.

The meeting will take place at Kettering Council’s council chamber at 6pm on Thursday, February 18.
