Helical Bar has sold two of its shopping centres, including Willow Place in Corby, netting more than £140m.
The 600,000 sq ft Clyde Shopping Centre in Glasgow was sold to Edinburgh House Estates and Cerberus for £70m.
Separately, Helicals’ properties in Corby town centre, including Willow Place and the Oasis Retail Park, were sold to Europa Capital Partners and Sovereign Land for £71.7m.
Helical’s investment director Duncan Walker told PropertyWeek.com: “These assets have been extremely successful for Helical having been acquired at the bottom of the market.
“We are pleased to see them passed onto purchasers who will build upon our successes, as we continue our rotation of assets within the portfolio.”
Helical had owned Clyde Shopping Centre since January 2010 and its Corby town centre properties since October 2011.
Corby MP Andy Sawford tweeted last night about the sale, saying: “Helical Bar have sold their property in Corby town centre for £71m to Europa Capital Partners.
“Hopefully this will lead to more investment in the town centre, including progress with the redevelopment of the Crown House site.”
