People in Corby will be given the chance to take part in a number of music, dance and craft sessions led by professional artists as part of the Made In Corby initiative.

The group, funded by Arts Council England, will hold the Big Day In event at Danesholme Communicare Centre on Saturday, November 21.

Those attending will be able to try their hand at felt-making and create their favourite local landscape in felt to take home with them at 1pm or 2.15pm with textile artist Anne-Marie Stijelja.

A gentle introduction to movement, exploring rhythm, musicality and the way your body works is on offer with dance sessions with Emma Boulton-Roe at 1pm and 3.30pm, where comfortable clothing is advised.

The incredible Sandeep Raval will also be bringing an amazing range of world percussion instruments for people to try from 2.15pm and 3.30pm.

Helen Willmott, Made in Corby’s programme manager, said: “You don’t need to have any previous experience to join in our Big Day In taster sessions.

“Why not bring a friend or family member and discover something new together?”

Sessions cost £2 each and booking is advisable.
