Pupils at Kingswood Primary Academy in Corby have been learning more about other cultures during workshops with a World Cup theme.
They have been taking part in samba drumming and Latin American dance sessions as well as maths and English lessons with a football flavour.
Principal Wendy Gordon said: “At Kingswood Primary Academy we are always keen to teach the children about different places and cultures. We have embraced the opportunity to learn more about South American music and dance by celebrating the World Cup in Brazil with the pupils from the foundation stage to Year 6.
“We have some budding Strictly performers. As part of our celebrations we have learned about the other countries participating in the World Cup and each class has learned more about other cultures. We engaged in football-themed maths and literacy activities across the school and the children have really enjoyed this themed approach, where they participated with great enthusiasm.”
