Police in Corby are hoping a bike left behind at a house in Weldon will help identify a man they want to speak to in connection with damage to a dry stone wall.

At about 5.20pm on Friday, January 17, a resident at a property in School Lane heard several knocks coming from the garden.

He went outside to investigate and saw a man standing next to the damaged wall. The man ran off towards Oundle Road, leaving behind a purple and silver Elswick bike.

The man is described as white, aged 30 to 40, about 5ft 5in, with a medium build. He had short black hair and was wearing a yellow high-visibility jacket.

Witnesses to the incident or anyone who recognises the bike or suspect is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101. Alternatively, information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
