Corby police and their partners set up shop in the town centre
The Corby Community Safety Partnership (CSP) is setting up shop in Corby town centre this Christmas.
Police officers, staff from the borough council and other agencies, along with First for Wellbeing and Voice (Northamptonshire’s victim and witness support service), will be staffing the pop-up shop until Saturday, December 17.
Young people from the local Jam Team and the Emergency Services Cadet scheme will also be there to welcome people to the shop in New Post Office Square in the town centre, which will be open at the following times:
Monday – Friday: 1pm to 3pm
Thursday: 1pm to 3pm and 5pm to 7pm
Saturday, December 17: 10am to 5pm
Sergeant Jon Hodgson said: “Anyone visiting the town is invited to pop in when they are passing.
“We’ll ask them to fill out a quick survey to help us find out what the priorities are for local people and we’ll be giving advice on various topics, including personal safety and home security, which is even more important around the festive period.
“On Monday, December 12, from 1pm to 3pm, we’ll be holding a ‘crafty’ afternoon, giving people the chance to join in to help raise money for the mental health charity Mind.”
Sgt Hodgson added: “This is a great partnership activity, we look forward to welcoming as many visitors as possible, wishing them a Merry Christmas and doing all we can to make sure the new year ahead will be a safe and happy one for all.”
