A pipe band helping to keep Corby’s Scottish traditions alive is appealing for sponsorship from businesses to help fund a new uniform.

The Grampian Corby Association Pipe Band, based at the Grampian Club in Patrick Road, has had a recent influx of young members.

Its uniform is 10-years-old and members are hoping to buy a new one but the group could be looking at a £6,000 bill. Pipe Sergeant Paul Dickson, 42, said: “We compete all around Scotland and England.

“For the past couple of years we’ve been rebuilding and encouraging our youth section to improve.

“But younger members grow quickly so we’re in need of new uniforms for them and the rest of the band. Our current uniform is looking a bit tired.”

Anyone who can help can call Paul on 07941 757706.
