Corby petrol station temporarily shut

The Shell garage on the route between Corby and Kettering has had to shut this afternoon after a power cut.

The petrol station between the A6003 at the Oakley Hay roundabout closed at lunchtime after a the power to tills failed.

A spokesman said that an engineer was due later today, but that the garage would be closed at least until late afternoon.

A Gregg’s outlet in the shop is still open, as is the cash machine.

The nearest alternative filling stations on the road are the BP Fourways garage at the Cottingham Road junction in Corby and the Esso garage at the police HQ junction in Kettering.
