Rubix nightclub in Corby celebrates it first birthday on Saturday (December 7) with Leeroy Thornhill, former star of The Prodigy.

He rose to fame alongside Liam Howlett and Keith Flint in 1991 when The Prodigy released their first single Charly.

Since then they have gone on to headline at most major music festivals including Glastonbury and Ibiza Rocks.

The Prodigy, probably best known for their UK number 1 hit Firestarter, still perform together and were approached by Madonna to produce her Ray of Light album, however declined due to their busy schedule.

As one of the founding members of the band, Thornhill’s DJ sets feature a mix of Prodigy hits as well as rock, indie and dance.

Joining Leeroy on the decks will be Rubix and Ministry of Sound DJ Paul Morrell and John Kelly from Cream in Liverpool.

During the Corporation Street club’s first year it has presented a host of international DJs including Sonique, Seb Fontaine, Freemasons, Danny Rampling, Jeremy Healy, KKlass and Tall Paul.

The event runs from 9pm until 4am and is expected to sell-out early.
