Corby man dies in motorbike crash on the A47

A 40-year-old motorcyclist who died after being involved in a collision on the A47 near Glaston has been named.

Miroslav Bocko, of Corby, was travelling in the direction of Leicester at about 5.15pm on Friday on his orange Honda motorbike, when he was in collision with a grey Nissan Qashqai, travelling in the opposite direction.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the car sustained minor injuries.

Detective Constable Pete Davies is keen to hear from anyone who saw the collision or the two vehicles immediately prior to the incident.

He said: “The A47 was busy at the time of the incident and we want anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward with any information – you may be able to help with our investigations.”
