Corby man arrested after stabbing in Peterborough

A Corby man has been arrested following a stabbing in Peterborough this morning (Wednesday).

Officers are at the scene of the attack in Lincoln Road, between Geneva Street and North Street, after the incident at 12.15am.

A man in his 20s received serious but not life threatening injuries and was taken to Peterborough City Hospital.

Six men were arrested on suspicion of assault, causing grievous bodily harm, and taken to Thorpe Wood Police Station where they remain.

Those arrested are a 45-year-old man from Wisbech, a 24-year-old man from Peterborough, a 25-year-old man of no fixed address, a 20-year-old man from Peterborough, a 21-year-old man from Corby and a 21-year-old man from Peterborough.
