People over 50 in Corby have been invited to an event where they can find out more about local hospice and healthcare services.
The Older Persons Health Forum will be held between 2pm and 4pm on Wednesday, October 7, at West Glebe Pavilion with speakers from Lakelands Hospice and Kettering General Hospital.
Lakelands Hospice will be talking about the services it offers in Corby for patients with long-term conditions.
The Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease team from Kettering General Hospital will talk about respiratory illness and what can be done to improve it.
Also speaking will be Care & Repair Northamptonshire, a voluntary organisation which offers services to a range of patients to keep their homes warm, safe and secure.
Representatives from the organisation will talk about their range of services, some of which are free depending on eligibility, and they can often help with repairs and maintenance on homes such as fitting key safes, grab rails and safety equipment.
The Older Persons Health Forum is free to attend and light refreshments will be available.
