Corby’s new main post office has opened - in a frozen food shop.
The town’s former Post Office in the Co-op shut in January after the food store pulled out of the town.
Now, the new branch has opened in Heron Foods in Corporation Street.
It will offer all the same facilities as the previous branch.
Shopper Lynn McArthur, 67, from the Beanfield Estate said: “It;s good to have a Post Office back in the town centre.
“I’ve been having to go all over the place to post parcels to my grandaughter and it’s been a nightmare.
“I was a bit worried about how they were going to fit it in but there’s quite a bit of room.”
The new branch has two a large counter for normal post office business as well as a glass-fronted counter for the Bureau de Change. There is also a quick service counter at the front of Heron Foods.
