Shoppers are invited to support an Easter egg appeal being run by H&T Pawnbrokers for the children’s ward at Kettering General Hospital.

Its staff hope to collect at least 50 chocolate eggs for children in Skylark ward.

People can drop their eggs in at the shop in Corporation Street, in the town centre, up until April 10.

Customers can also donate £1 and H&T staff will buy an Easter egg or a teddy to add to the collection.

The Easter egg collection is part of a nationwide initiative by H&T Pawnbrokers.

Manager of the Corby store, Ellie Goodman, said: “This is an exciting challenge for H&T. We want to bring a smile and a lovely surprise to as many children in our local hospital as we can this year. They deserve a treat.”
