A delegation from the Diocese of Peterborough, which covers Northamptonshire, is visiting colleagues in South Korea.

The party of five, including John Holbrook, the Bishop of Brixworth, had been invited by the Anglican Diocese of Seoul to help them train lay ministers.

The group have also visited the demilitarised zone (DMZ) which separates North and South Korea, observed work done with homeless people and raised the issue of the number of ordained women.

The Bishop of Peterborough, the Rt Revd Donald Allister, signed a friendship pact with his opposite number the Archbishop of Seoul, the Most Revd Paul K Kim, in 2011. A return visit will be made by a Korean delegation in June.

A blog written by one of the members of the Peterborough party, the Revd Chrys Tremththanmor, is updated daily.
