Christmas time for me

I love Christmas time. I’m not religious or like it for something to do with religion.

I like this time of the year because I get to be with my family and have an awesome tea.

Also we all have to get up and wait for everyone to be ready before we are allowed to open are presents.

But we open our cards before Christmas day. Also at Wrenn School we give our mates cards and presents, even some of our teachers.

Wrenn normally put up a decoration here or there, like a little Christmas tree in the corner.

Also when the music and radio channels play your favourite Christmas song, it sends tingles through my body, knowing that it is that time of the year again.

Also one reason as well is because my birthday is on November 6 and Christmas is very near to that, so I’m normally have a cool time in between.

I don’t know what you feel at Christmas time, but I do know that for me, it is one of the best times of the year.

Normally people only celebrate Christmas because they are religious or believe Jesus was born on this date.

But for me it’s for the decorations, the time leading up to Christmas and spending quality time with my family.

I sometimes wonder how other people celebrate Christmas; do they enjoy or hate it?

I feel like when the time has arrived I get so excited I can’t sleep and in the morning I wake up incredibly early.

Normally when I am off school I get up at nine or ten in the morning. On Christmas and my birthday I wake up around seven or eight in the morning, as you can tell I love those two special days.

Also when it snows, and you go out and catch it as it falls. Admiring the scene around you and making snowballs and throwing them at your mates.

Watching the snowflakes from your window. When you go out all wrapped up and warm. I love that feeling.

But this Christmas, I want it to be special and snowing. While we are all sat around the tree, opening are presents while other people maybe eating or still asleep.

So, this Christmas Eve, remember to sleep and also you need to have been good, or Santa won’t turn up.

A message from me: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
