In light of this, the board of trustees for The Castle (Wellingborough) Ltd held a meeting last night (Wednesday) and have since released a statement.

Rae Levene, chairman of the board of trustees for The Castle (Wellingborough) Ltd, said: “Whilst the board is disappointed and dismayed at the decisions arrived at by the Borough Council of Wellingborough, it accepts that it would appear to have been as part of the democratic process and it will continue to work with the council to achieve a satisfactory outcome for the people of Wellingborough and its creative heart that is The Castle theatre.”
