The Green Meadows Festival returns to Barnwell next month.

The two-day festival, on Friday, September 13 and Saturday, September 14, will feature live music, DJs and arts and will raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust’s Addenbrookes Ward.

Bands performing at the event include F.O.X – who have supported Depeche Mode – and Britpop group Dodgy.

Other events that are being held on the day include live graffiti, chainsaw carving demonstrations and a DJ stage, Beats Boutique, which will feature a variation of music styles for everyone to enjoy. The festival is suitable for all ages and will host a children’s area which will include a disco, inflatables along with arts and crafts.

Organiser Ollie Sharp expressed his excitement for the upcoming event, saying: “We are delighted to secure such a strong list of acts to help raise money for the ward. Dodgy are just one of many highlights over the weekend and we are looking forward to a fantastic festival.”

The festival raised more than £3,000 last year and organisers are hoping to raise an even higher amount this year.

Laura Woodcock, regional fundraiser for the Teenage Cancer Trust, said: “The Green Meadows Festival is a superb event and a great day out for festival lovers.

“The festival raised an incredible £3380 for Teenage Cancer Trust last year and we are honoured to be the beneficiary again this year. Not only will the event raise vital funds but much needed awareness about Teenage Cancer Trust and the work that we do”.

Tickets start from £25 for adults over the weekend and £5 for children.
