A youth programme manager from Corby met the Prime Minister’s wife at a special reception for charity champions at No 10.
Anne-Marie Lawson, who works for Groundwork Northamptonshire, met Samantha Cameron at the event in Downing Street.
She said: “Groundwork is a fantastic place to work and it is a rewarding role making our communities a safer place to live.
“It was great to meet Samantha and I am very pleased the charity sector has been recognised in this way.”
Also at the event were Nikki May, the director of youth development and training at Gateway Growth, and the Conservative candidate for Corby and East Northamptonshire Tom Pursglove.
