PEOPLE have a chance to learn how to handle sheep on a wildlife training course.
A one-day course called Sheep Handling for Beginners is set to be run by Cathy Wainwright on behalf of the Wildlife Trust.
It is aimed at novices and less experienced livestock volunteers and assistants and gives the basic skills to restrain and handle sheep.
The course will include how to tell the age of a sheep, condition assessment, foot trimming, best practice for vaccinations and worming and how to correctly use a halter.
It will be taking place from 10am to 4pm on Saturday, April 21 at the Old Sulehay reserve near Oundle.
