NHS Corby Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is holding a public workshop about the future of healthcare in the town.
The event on Thursday, December 14, at the Best Western Hotel in Corby, will be the last chance for people in Corby to help shape the proposed changes to healthcare services before the consultation in 2018.
Although the event is open to people registered with a Corby GP, they must inform the organisers in advance of the event that they wish to attend.
The workshop will present the initial findings from the CCG’s conversations about people’s experiences of healthcare in Corby.
It will also provide an update on the challenges the CCG currently faces in delivering the right services for the people of the town.
Dr Joanne Watt, chairman of Corby CCG, said: “We have been out and about in Corby since September talking to people about the challenges the CCG is facing in delivering the right healthcare services in this area.
“We have also been listening to people’s experiences of using current services – good and bad – and finding out whether they believe services need to change in Corby.
“We will be sharing our initial findings from this work at this event, as well as providing the latest information on the financial and clinical challenges we face.
“We will then ask them to work with us to develop the proposals that we will then go to public consultation with in 2018.”
People who live in Corby and the surrounding area, and are registered with a Corby GP surgery, can attend the event, but must register in advance by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org by 5pm on Wednesday, December 13.
