A new entertainment and technology exchange store is set to open within three weeks, filling a shopping centre and creating a dozen jobs.
The national chain CeX, which buys, sells and exchanges technology and entertainment products like mobile phones, video games, DVDs, computers, digital cameras and music CDs, will open in the former Gamestation in the Newlands Centre, Kettering, by July 21.
Jonathan Cronin, of CeX, said: “Our team go in that week and they will do their best to get it open before then.”
The business has already hired more than 12 part and full-time staff, including management and shop assistants, after interviews last week.
The chain has more than 150 stores nationwide, including in Leicester and Northampton.
Readers commenting on the store opening on the Telegraph’s website raised concerns about it buying stolen goods, but Mr Cronin reassured people it uses the same process to check items as police, known as Checkmend.
He said: “We are looking forward to starting and we hope it will be lovely and busy in Kettering.”
