Hundreds of merry makers are expected to turn out for a community fun day at Tithe Barn, in Wellingborough, on Saturday, September 14.
The event will run from 10am to 4pm, and it will offer a wide range of free activities and events for people of all ages.
This year the fun day, which is organised by Wellingborough Homes, will celebrate the history of the borough, featuring a display of photos, documents and artefacts from Wellingborough Museum.
Fun day attractions will include a bouncy castle, a variety of children’s activities, fair-type games, stalls, free food and a range of other entertainment for all ages.
Wellingborough Homes, which owns and manages more than 4,500 homes across the borough, hosts a community fun day every year.
Last year, its fifth annual event attracted a record number of visitors – over 1,000 people – who enjoyed a multi-cultural mix of entertainment at the ‘One World’ themed event, from reggae music to belly dancing.
Elly Simms, Community Manager at Wellingborough Homes, said: “We have got a great line-up of attractions and activities for this year’s fun day.
“It is a great day out, after the amazing success of last year’s event, we hope to be joined by even more people this year. There really is something for everyone to enjoy, and we look forward to seeing as many people as possible joining in the fun.”
