Cash stolen from Wellingborough shop in knifepoint robbery

A man armed with a knife stole cash from a Wellingborough shop after forcing a member of staff to open the till.

The incident took place at the Co-op store in Northen Way, just off Redhill Grange, shortly before 10.30pm on Monday (August 15).

The offender approached a member of staff who was outside the store and told them to go inside and open the till.

After the till was opened, he stole cash and ran off in the direction of the Hemmingwell estate.

The offender is described as white and of average build. He had his hood up and his face covered.
