A total of 50 organisations in Desborough will benefit from a slice of the £3,400 that was raised at this year’s carnival.
Desborough carnival took place in the summer and more cash was raised from 2012’s event than last years’.
Carnival Chairman Michael Crick said: “Once again the people of Desborough, despite the current economic climate, have shown their generosity and supported the carnival.
“We are extremely pleased to be giving away this money to support a whole range of organisations in the town from young people to the senior citizens.
“The carnival brings together everyone in the town and is the biggest event in Desborough’s calendar.”
Committee members from the carnival will get together for an AGM on Wednesday where cheques will be presented to the various organisations.
The likes of the town’s Heritage Centre, Desborough Town Welfare, schools, and cadets are all set to benefit from the windfall.
