Car key burglars strike twice in Corby

People are being urged people to secure their property after car key burglars struck at two houses in the same night.

Northamptonshire Police received reports of two car key burglaries in the James Watt Avenue area of Corby on Wednesday, January 30.

Thieves got in to both properties through an unlocked door, some time between midnight and 6am.

In both incidents, car keys were removed and the vehicles parked on the driveway were stolen.

Detective Inspector Ali Farr said: “We believe these incidents are linked and ask anyone with information to contact us on 101.

“As always, we urge residents to keep their doors and windows locked, and ensure valuables are not left on display and keys are kept in a safe place out of sight.”
