Try some images using negative space (ie space where other things are not present).
This looks particularly good when taking portraits, but make sure your subject is facing into the negative space and not away from it.
This could be as simple as extending the left or right of an portrait image so the subject is not in the centre.
Make sure your negative space is relatively free of any distracting objects.
Less can be more!
