When taking photographs, try to get used to looking out for what is in the background.
Avoid trees or poles appearing to come out of peoples heads!
Try to make the background uncluttered, so that it does not detract from the subject.
Also, make sure your subject stands out from the background – if possible make sure there is enough distance between the background and your subject.
