From 10am to midday, the council’s community safety partnership will be teaming up with local volunteers to pick up litter throughout Little Stanion.

To join simply pop along to the Little Stanion Welcome Centre at 10am and get stuck in.

All equipment will be provided, along with hot drinks afterwards as a thank you to everyone who helped out.

Corby Council leader Cllr Tom Beattie said: “Our Big Pick events are always a great success and make a big difference to local areas.

“This kind of event couldn’t happen without the amazing volunteers who join in and help to clear up their areas, so please come and spare an hour or so to make this one just as successful.”

There will be several community litter pick events happening in the coming weeks as Corby comes together to support the national Clean for The Queen campaign.

If you would like to get involved or would like a litter pick in your area please contact Corby Council’s community engagement officer, Lizzie Hudson, on 01536 464603 or the Corby Community Safety Partnership on Twitter or Facebook.
