Northamptonshire-based recruitment firm Macildowie is expanding its team to meet growing demand in the East Midlands job market, with the company’s largest ever employment drive.

Macildowie has appointed five new team members and has now started taking applications to fill a further 15 graduate positions.

Louise Carling and Maxine Cayless join Macildowie as HR and training recruitment consultants, with Ansley Buggy joining to assist with the growth of Macildowie’s temp/interim service offering.

Between them they have more than 20 years of industry experience across a range of sectors.

Working in a team that is responsible for the hiring of permanent and temporary professionals, they will cover locations across the whole of the East Midlands.

James Hales and Sophie Boardley are the first recruits of the year to come through the Macildowie graduate recruitment scheme.

Sophie completed her degree at Liverpool John Moores University, while James studied at Leeds Metropolitan University.

Macildowie is looking to take on a further 15 graduate trainees over the coming months to work with the current team who specialise in accountancy, HR, procurement/supply chain and sales/marketing recruitment.

The new starters will join the successful Macildowie Talent Pool scheme which has been responsible for training more than half of the entire recruitment workforce.

Chief executive of Macildowie James Calder said: “With the job market in the East Midlands getting busier every day, we want to ensure Macildowie is in the best position possible to deal with the increased demand.

“We have a fantastic team of hardworking and dedicated individuals and I am sure Ansley, Maxine, Louise, James and Sophie will fit in perfectly.

“This is the largest recruitment drive we have ever done and reflects the success of Macildowie over recent years having built up a loyal customer base and placed some fantastic candidates.”

The new starters will all be joining a company which ranked seventh in The 2012 Sunday Times Best Small Companies to work for list.
