Redundancies could be made at a century-old Kettering business, it has been confirmed.
Staff at Timsons, which manufactures bespoke printing machines from its factories in Bath Road and Water Street, are being consulted on possible job losses, according to managing director Jeff Ward.
But Mr Ward has not confirmed how many jobs are at risk at the firm, which was founded 117 years ago.
He said: “It is with deep regret that, due to changing market conditions, we have had to advise the workforce that we need to undertake a restructuring programme which will include a risk of redundancies.
“In this respect we have commenced a 30 day consultation period and have set up a working group encompassing both the Union and employees representatives to oversee the process.
“These actions, while deeply regrettable, are unavoidable in the current circumstances.”
